WXXI Concert ROCHESTER, N.Y. June 1, 2009 - ROS performed in concert, with Music Director Eric Townell conducting and accompanied by pianist Richard Volpe at the WXXI-TV studies in Rochester NY on Sunday, May 31, 2009 in front of a live audience. Performance was broadcast on WXXI "World" Cable Channel on Sunday, June 28th and Sunday, July 26th. Rochester's Classical Idol III Vocal Competition Results ROCHESTER, N.Y. MARCH 28, 2009 - The final competition was held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Hochstein Peformance Hall in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. The following winners were selected: Jacqueline Noparstak (Soprano) 1st Place Evan T, Jones, (Baritone) 2nd Place and Audience Choice Elena O'Connor (Soprano) 3rd Place The competition included many applicants from across the Country and Canada. There were 25 applicants invited to attend the semi-final round held on Friday evening, March 27th.
